HTTP 499 · code canceled

The client closed the request before the server answered.

When Photon sends it

Recorded through photonerr.Canceled() when the request context ends because the client left. 499 is nginx’s “client closed request”; it appears in logs and metrics, and a client that has gone never receives it.

What the client should do

Nothing: the client already left.
