The server failed while handling the request.

When Photon sends it

Sent when a handler panics before writing a response, or returns photonerr.Internal(cause) or an error that is not a *photonerr.Error. The cause is logged for the operator and never sent to the client.

What the client should do

Retry later; if it persists, report it with the time of the request.

What the server owner can do

Check the server log: Photon logs the cause and, for panics, the stack.
